What the Jury said about this Series:
“The first place is indeed a surprise, fitting to this year´s Fotomarathon motto. Within the diversity of all submissions, this repetition forces us to pause for a moment. The stereotype steers our sight away from the given titles as “submerge”, “meanders”, “outwitted”…Memories are awakened, linked to the Bellevue Castle, the residence of the Federal President; connections to political and social contexts are allegorised. Thus, the Fotomarathon doesn´t take place in the streets of the capital city, but in our own heads. Photos can have an impact on us in this way as well.
