There are Fotomarathons in many cities around the world. If you want to get to know these cities in a special way, you should have a look at these websites. Most of the events are organised by non profit organisations or foundations, run by volunteers, who work with lots of enthusiasm and engagement to bring this cultural event to their cities. There are a few commercially sponsored events, these are marked with an asterisk (*) below.

You might want to join the organisers forum organised by Fotomarathon Copenhagen http://www.photomarathon.dk -the longest running Photomarathon in the world, to exchange ideas and experiences with other organisers.
