3 x 4 = Welcome to the Mini Fotomarathon

This is an ideal event for all those who would like to see what a Fotomarathon is about, and also for those enthusiastic fotomarathonists who cannot wait until 18.06.2011.

As this is a mini-version, it is free of charge, and there are only 25 places available, a good reason to register as quickly as you make up your mind -just click HERE to secure your place. Registrations will only be taken online and until Noveber 4th. As usual, you can bring one or more friends along.

The starting shot will be fired at 14.00 on November 6 at the Galerie  Orange in der Wühlischstr. 37 in 10245 Berlin-Friedrichshain, where we are currently presenting our exhibition "Time Travel: 10x Fotomarathon Berlin", showing all winning series of the last 10 years and the 2010 winners of two other European Fotomarathons in Cardiff and Copenhagen. Please be there at least half an hour before the star, to ensure we have time to give you your participant´s number.

The mini fotomarathon will take place during three hours, during which four themes must be illustrated -a really light version of the original Fotomarathon, where 24 themes have to be illustrated in 12 hours.

Everyone with a digital camera with a removable memory card can participate. Cameras with wi-fi or bluetooth will not be accepted. Important: during the mini Fotomarathon only four photos can be handed in and only four photos can be in your memory card -only those taken during the competition. If you are embarking on a parallel photo safari, we recommend you bring an extra memory card for those pictures. ideally, bring an empty memory card, and an extra one just in case, as well as fully charged batteries.

After three hours of mini-fotomarathon, we reconvene at 17.00 hs at the Galerie Orange, to see and evaluate the results together, to exchange experiences and to recover from the creative challenge. By coincidence it is quite fitting that the meeting point is also a Winery! Instead of the Jury and an award ceremony, the Fotomarathon team will share some tips and tricks so you can persuade the Jury next time around.
